ode to ye blue jeans

  

i wore this denim potato sack uniform these boyfriend jeans for three consecutive weeks. when it became clear that library living (the affectionate term for nine hour days in the library) was not going to be "just a passing phase," but a way of life for the three weeks leading up to the semester's end, it was obvious that being able to sit cross-legged  was going to be a necessity. in other words, like any good fashion girl slash model off duty, all my skinnies are too tight to do pretty much anything in, so we had to find a viable alternative.
the second part of this outfit is slightly more upbeat. remember that fashion week snap of joan smalls looking like an absolute baller in her willows and isabel marant denim shirt? well dreams came true at my favorite consignment shop when i spotted that very isabel gem for about 15% of the original price. in my size too, done and done. clearly the academic gods were throwing this dog a bone. 

snapshots: now that three consecuative weeks staked out at camp library the semester has finally come to an end, it's time to pay homage to the jeans that got me through it all and will finally be washed and put away for a very long time. photos by yours truly.
